Organising for change: how can higher education meet the changing needs of employment?

This seminar will explore the role of higher education in driving economic change and creating skilled, work-ready graduates. This will be discussed in the context of global challenges, such as rising youth unemployment and ever increasing university student numbers.

The ACU is partnering with Wilton Park, the UK Department for International Development, National Research Foundation (South Africa), and the University of Pretoria to stage this high-level seminar.

As an organisation, we appreciate the huge demands now being placed on higher education institutions to produce graduates capable of meeting the requirements of employment, and we recognise that universities throughout the Commonwealth are producing much best practice in the field. We believe this deserves exposure to a wider audience.
