IoL membership gives students an early opportunity to develop their leadership capabilities alongside their academic studies, helping them to build the professional skills, confidence and self-awareness valued by employers.
Membership, offered at a 26% discount for ACU members, offers access to leadership learning resources, practical tools and insights, as well as a professional community that supports students' personal development and employability from the outset of their careers.

How to register
To register, follow the steps below:
- Visit the IoL website and click 'apply today' in the top right-hand corner.
- Enter your full name and email address, then click 'verify' to receive an email to activate your account.
- Log in with your email and newly-created password and apply for a membership grade.
- On the IoL application page, select 'university membership' at the bottom of the page.
- Complete the membership application form.
- At checkout, enter the discount code found in the ACU Synthesis newsletter.
- Once payment is completed, your welcome email will be sent to you, inviting you to access your member benefits.
