‘Writing for the Media’ Training
The application form consists of the following sections:
- Eligibility
- Statements
- Upload supporting documents
The statement section is formed of five statements that applicants need to complete. Each statement response should be 100-300 words in length.
Plagiarism is not allowed. Applications shown to be plagiarised will not be considered.
Applicants will be required to provide the following information in the application form:
- Please state your research topic.
- Statement 1: Explain the reasons for your interest in joining this training.
- Statement 2: Explain why you think your research topic is of interest to a non-expert audience? Why should your research be featured in the media and what could be the benefit for society about learning about your research through the media?
- Statement 3: Explain how the training will benefit your career and professional development.
- Statement 4: Explain how the training will benefit your institution.
- Statement 5: Explain how you will share the knowledge gained by participating in the training.
Applicants will be required to submit a letter from their Supervisor/Head of Department confirming support for their application and their status as an early-mid career researcher at their ACU member institution.
