Dr Temitope Oyedotun is currently an Associate Professor (Reader) in the Department of Geography and the Dean of the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences at his university. He holds a PhD (Geography), an MSc (GIS), an MSc (Geography, Hydrology Option) and a BSc (Geography).
His ongoing research is on data integration and analysis for the monitoring of coastal dynamics. He has authored and/or co-authored over 45 academic articles in journals and conference proceedings.
Dr Noor Hashimah Hashim Lim

Dr Noor Hashimah Hashim Lim is a Senior Lecturer in Urban and Regional Planning. Her research interests are statistical modelling of environmental impacts on human behaviours with attention to population health and climate-community resilience.
This grant will help Hashimah to develop a virtual community map that captures people-place attachment in a university setting. The ‘Virtual Youth Value Atlas’ is expected to strengthen Universiti Malaya’s institutional capacity to include youth voices in planning for an eco-campus.
Dr Kathryn Ewing
University of Cape Town, South Africa
Dr Kathryn Ewing is a Senior Lecturer in Urban Design at the School of Architecture, Planning and Geomatics. Her teaching and research focus on safe and inclusive cities, including the mapping of everyday informal occupation of urban land and the co-production of space and place-making in African cities.
Kathryn’s current aim is to monitor public life and climate change adaptations in public space, including understanding safety and resilience of local waterways and walkways.
Dr Mahendra Gooroochurn
University of Mauritius
Dr Gooroochurn is a Senior Lecturer at his university. Through this grant, he aims to engage with the community to raise awareness and gather perspectives on climate change. He will run workshops on how households can contribute to climate action using the circular homes concept. The overall goal of the project is to promote co-creation of climate solutions, grassroots climate action, and community empowerment.
Dr Gooroochurn will be working in collaboration with Professor Lindsay Stringer from the University of York and JCI Curepipe during this project.
