Join the ACU at this year's UN High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) – the yearly conference of the United Nations reviewing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The HLPF is the annual conference of the United Nations where governments, UN agencies and civil society come together to discuss the achievements that have been made towards Agenda 2030.

Taking place from 5-15 July, the HLPF in 2022 will review in-depth Sustainable Development Goals 4 on quality education, 5 on gender equality, 14 on life below water, 15 on life on land, and 17 on partnerships for the Goals.

The HLPF theme this year is: ‘Building back better from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) while advancing the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development’.

As an international university association advocating for the key role that higher education plays in achieving sustainable development, the ACU will take an active part in the events again this year, together with our partners and members.

Transformative education, digital learning and partnerships towards a more sustainable and equitable future – 5 July, 14.00-15.45 EST

The ACU is co-organising this event (session 2 workshop) with the IAU/AUF, SDSN/Global Schools, My World Mexico, and York University on Transformative Education, Digital Learning, and Partnerships toward a more Sustainable and Equitable Future. The workshop will be moderated by Hilligje van’t Land, PhD, IAU Secretary-General.

International Green Gown Awards (IGGA) virtual awards ceremony – 6 July, 13:00 EST

The ACU is a co-sponsor and member of the judging panel of the IGGA and will present the winner for the Benefiting Society category at the ceremony.
