The HLPF is the annual conference of the United Nations where governments, UN Agencies and civil society come together to discuss the achievements that have been made towards Agenda 2030. This year the HLPF, taking place from 7-16 July, is dedicated to "Accelerated action and transformative pathways: realizing the decade of action and delivery for sustainable development”.

As a global university association advocating for the key role that higher education plays in achieving sustainable development, the ACU will take an active part in the debates again this year and is co-organising a series of virtual events, together with our partners and members.

Click on the links below to learn about each event and register to attend. The following events are free and open to all ACU members:

Tune in for a panel discussion with participation from Dr Hilligje van’t Land (IAU); Stefania Giannini (UNESCO) and representatives from academia and UN bodies.

The ACU is a co-sponsor and member of the judging panel of the IGGA, and will present the winner for the Student Engagement category at the ceremony. To register, select ‘Book this Package’ and then ‘Go to Event Booking’ in the EAUC booking portal. You will not be charged.

The ACU has co-organised this online workshop with our partners, the International Association of Universities (IAU) and The Francophone University Agency (AUF), and the SDG Academy and the International Council for Adult Education (ICAE). ACU members and our Secretary General Dr Joanna Newman will be on the panel.
