Dr Isaac Akinwumi

Associate Professor in Civil Engineering at Covenant University, Nigeria

Dr Isaac Akinwumi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Covenant University, Nigeria, with over 16 years of research and teaching experience. His research focuses on waste management, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WaSH), sustainable construction materials, and climate change. He has authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications and attracted research grants from the Royal Academy of Engineering, Innovate UK, and the British Council.

He has served across multiple leadership roles at Covenant University, including Director of the International Office and Linkages, where he championed the university's internationalisation agenda, managed its partnerships, coordinated the International Visiting Scholars programme, and managed staff and student mobility initiatives, international student affairs, and career fairs. He also served as Coordinator of Research at the Centre for Research, Innovation and Discovery. He currently serves as the Chairman of Covenant University's Waste-to-Wealth Committee, exploring innovative approaches to environmental sustainability and circular economy practices within the university community.

Dr Akinwumi is a Commonwealth Scholarship Split-Site PhD Programme Alumnus and spent a year of his doctoral study at the University of the West of England. Isaac holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from Covenant University and is a Registered Engineer in Nigeria, Fellow of the Nigerian Young Academy, Affiliate of the African Academy of Sciences and member of the ACU Sustainable Urbanisation Expert Group.

Professor Suveera Gill

Professor of Accounting and Finance at Panjab University, India

Professor Suveera Gill is a Professor of Accounting and Finance at Panjab University, Chandigarh, with nearly 30 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership. Her expertise spans behavioural and entrepreneurial finance, corporate governance, and ethics, with numerous publications, certifications, and international engagements to her credit.

Professor Pamela Raburu

Associate Professor in Educational Psychology at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology, Kenya

Professor Pamela Raburu is an Associate Professor in Educational Psychology, and formerly the Director Quality Enhancement & Assurance, Dean of the School of Education, Chairperson of the Department of Psychology and Education Foundations, and Examination Officer for the School of Education. She is also a consultant and a mentor, with a passion for youth issues, especially adolescent girls, mental health and psychosocial intervention/support.

She is a researcher and a professional trained teacher, with over 25 years teaching experience working in senior positions in secondary schools and universities across the world, including Kenya, the UK, Saudi Arabia and Sultanate of Oman. She obtained a PhD from Lancaster University, UK, and an MA in Educational Psychology and Bachelor of Education (Hons) from the Institute of Education/University College London, UK.

She is an ACU Ambassador and Regional Representative for East Africa on the ACU Supporting Research Community Steering Committee. She is a member of the Africa Deans Association and Kenya Universities Quality Assurance Networks (KuQAN) in Kenya and the East Africa Quality Assurance Networks (EaQAN). She has a passion for victimology issues and is a member of the International Association for Special Education (IASE), the Gender and Education Association UK and FAWE Kenya Chapter. She is also a Convener and Coordinator for the JOOUST Ladies Network (JoLaNeT) for the mentorship of female faculty and students in secondary schools and universities.

Professor Raburu has presented papers at various international conferences, supervised and graduated 22 PhD and 40 Master students and published at least 70 papers in peer reviewed international journals.
