Caroline Harrison appointed as the ACU’s Chief Finance Officer

The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) has appointed Caroline Harrison as Chief Finance Officer.

Caroline will join the ACU in May 2019 from her current role as Director of Finance and Planning at Richmond, The American International University in London.

Speaking of her new role, Caroline said 'I am delighted to be joining the ACU as it continues with its commitment to support and promote the contribution of higher education across the Commonwealth and the world'.

Dr Joanna Newman, Chief Executive and Secretary General of the ACU, added 'I look forward to welcoming Caroline to the ACU's Senior Executive Team. Caroline has a fantastic track record in the higher education sector and I am confident that she will enable us to continue delivering support and value to our members, clients, and other stakeholders.

'Caroline will be taking over from Keith Stephenson, who has been an integral part of our organisation for the past 11 years. We wish him every joy and success in the future'.

Caroline Harrison started her career at Royal Mail before joining Middlesex University. Rising through the ranks of the finance team, she held a series of senior positions before being appointed Director of Finance. Her remit at Richmond, The American International University in London included facilities and estates, as well as finance. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA).
