Dr Samuel Agblorti
University of Cape Coast, Ghana

Dr Agblorti’s research focuses on the nexus between refugees’ use of environmental resources and the resultant environmental conflicts with host populations. He also specialises in the feasibility of local integration of refugees, using political ecology as an analytical framework. He is the team lead for Disaster Risk Management and Migration at the Africa Centre of Excellence for Coastal Resilience (ACECoR), University of Cape Coast.

Professor Heaven Crawley FAcSS
Coventry University, UK

Professor Crawley joined the Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations (CTPSR) at Coventry University in September 2014 from where she leads the UKRI GCRF South-South Migration, Inequality and Development Hub (MIDEQ). Professor Crawley’s research is underpinned by concerns about the inequalities with which international migration is often (but not always) associated: global, local and social inequalities that limit human potential and shape decisions to migrate. She has more than 25 years' experience of undertaking research on international migration in a wide range of institutional settings.

Dr Veronica Fynn Bruey
University of Cape Coast, Ghana

Dr Fynn Bruey is an award-winning scholar with an extensive interdisciplinary educational background. She is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Internal Displacement, and the Founder of the Law and Society's Collaborative Research Network “Displaced Peoples”, and the co-Founder and Executive Director of Tuki-Tumarankeh.  She lectures in the Faculty of Law at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Dr Fynn Bruey is a born and bred Liberian war survivor.

Professor Tasneem Siddiqui
University of Dhaka, Bangladesh

Professor Siddiqui is the Chair of the Refugee and Migratory Movements Research Unit (RMMRU), at University of Dhaka and leading social scientist on migration of Bangladesh. Her works on drivers and impact of labour migration, female labour migration, diaspora, remittances, climate change adaptation and migration have been published nationally and internationally. She led preparation of the National Strategy for Climate Induced Internally Displaced Persons in Bangladesh for the Ministry of Disaster and Relief and UNDP.

Professor Jo Vearey
University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa

Professor Vearey is the Director of the African Centre for Migration & Society (ACMS), University of the Witwatersrand, and of the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) Centre of Excellence in Migration and Mobility. Supported by a Wellcome Trust Investigator Award, she established the Migration and Health Project Southern Africa (maHp). As a public health researcher with a commitment to social justice, Professor Vearey’s research explores ways to generate and communicate knowledge to improve responses to migration, health and wellbeing in the southern African region.
