The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) is looking to recruit a Records Assistant to contribute to the efficient administration of the scholarship and fellowship schemes it operates.
As a UK-registered charity, the ACU has managed international postgraduate scholarship programmes for almost 60 years. Most of our work is for external sponsors, including three UK government departments. In all cases, we are committed to helping sponsors meet the objectives of their investment and to providing an excellent service to award holders themselves.
We believe that international collaboration is central to this ambition. By bringing universities together from around the world – and crucially the people who study and work within them - we help to advance knowledge, promote understanding, broaden minds, and improve lives.
You will provide support to the Senior Records Officer in all aspects of records management and archiving procedures for both the Commonwealth and Chevening Scholarship Schemes. You will also provide cover for reception, ACU switchboard and postal and courier duties as required.
This is an excellent entry level position for someone with a strong interest and motivation to start a career in the Higher Education sector. You will need to be a self-starter with the ability to motivate yourself. You must have excellent attention to detail and enjoy dealing with volumes of data and records.
Our benefits include 31 days holiday per year (including 4 Christmas closure days) plus bank holidays, competitive pension scheme (10% employer contribution plus 5% employee contribution), season ticket loan and excellent support for learning and development through a range of educational and networking activities.
At the ACU, we welcome and encourage applications from everyone regardless of gender, race, religion, marital status, disability, age, and sexual orientation.
As Records Assistant you will be employed by ACU Trading Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary.
