• Development Partnerships in Higher Education (DelPHE) – the ACU supports and facilitates the development of south-south bilateral and multi-lateral partnerships to submit applications for the DfID's Delphe scheme. It also runs a network of extension and community engagement professionals as part of its DelPHE role. It works with the British Council on this project.

Department for International Development, UK

• The ACU provides the overall coordination for CAAST-Net, a high-level joint Africa-Europe project whose goal is to pursue more and better cooperation in science and technology between Africa and Europe in both policy and research.

• EuroAfriCA-ICT – the ACU is a consortium partner and work package leader for this project.

• Early careers of African researchers - Following on from the joint British Academy/ACU work which led to the The Nairobi Report:  Frameworks for Africa-UK Research Collaboration in the Social Sciences and Humanities the ACU has been commissioned to undertake a further study on the early career needs of African researchers and ways in which UK universities might contribute.
