Extension activity is a key part of ensuring that higher education institutions are able to have a positive impact on their communities.
Understanding this, the Development Partnerships in Higher Education (DelPHE) programme, led by the British Council and supported by the ACU, helps to finance university collaborations which address development issues in the partner countries.
DelPHE recognises that university collaborations can have the best impact upon local communities when extension systems are in place and project outputs are effectively disseminated. This is why the ACU established the University Extension Network – to share good practice in extension and community outreach, and to help disseminate DelPHE project outputs to our wide membership.
If you are currently involved in a DelPHE project, the ACU invites you to promote your project outputs through the ACU University Extension Network's e-briefing, Interact.
Also, if you are not yet involved in a DelPHE project but are interested in locating potential partners to develop an application, the ACU can approach network members on your behalf with our DelPHE partnership brokering service.
