These scholarships are offered by the Canada Memorial Foundation in memory of the one million Canadians who served with Great Britain during the First and Second World Wars. The awards are intended for persons of high academic promise and leadership potential who will play a full part in the life of the Canadian community which they visit and who will return to contribute fully to UK society. The ACU administers the awards on behalf of the Canada Memorial Foundation.
Purpose: Awards are offered for postgraduate study leading to a university degree.
Length of tenure: Awards are available for one year of taught study only at any university or other appropriate institution in Canada subject to the approval of the Canada Memorial Foundation. Awards are not offered for study at doctoral level.

Eligibility: Candidates must be UK citizens and hold, or be in their final year of undergraduate study and expect to attain, a minimum of an upper second class undergraduate degree.
Value: Maintenance allowance, return airfare, approved tuition fees, book, thesis, travel, and health insurance allowance

Applicants should note that an interview in London in January or February 2012 may be required, and that candidates who are unable to attend an interview cannot be considered for an award.
