ACU Advertising can place advertisements for member universities and other institutions in any publication worldwide. The volume of advertising handled enables us to offer generous discounts on advertising costs in many journals, including Times Higher Education, Guardian and Guardian Weekly.

How to advertise

All we need is the text of the advertisement, preferably via email to adverts@acu.ac.uk as a Word attachment or PDF, and details of the journals in which you want it to appear. We will advise you of the next available issue(s) and can give an estimate of the cost. The exact cost can be determined by having the advertisement typeset for which there will be a small production charge. If you need advice on appropriate placements for your advertisement we will be happy to provide it.

How will the advertisement look?

Advertisements are normally typeset by our agency rather than the media, giving ACU Advertising (and you the university) control over the accuracy of the copy, the efficient use of space and adherence to any desired house style. ACU Advertising's team meticulously checks every proof and confirms the final cost with you before approving it for insertion. If copy deadlines allow we can email the proof to you for approval if you prefer.

Will the advertisement also appear online?

Many journals now charge separately for advertising on their website. We will advise you of the options when confirming the placement and the cost.

How will I be invoiced?

Invoices are normally issued at the end of the month in which the advertisement appears. Payment is required within eight weeks (eg invoices issued at the end of January must be paid by the end of March). The invoice will be accompanied by a copy of the final proof of the advertisement; voucher copies are now expensive to obtain and are not normally provided.
