Over the five years of DelPHE's call for applications, the ACU played a brokering and mentoring role, as well as disseminating project outcomes. One of our principal aims has been to support South-South applications to DelPHE, through helping partners to find each other, and to advise on application processes and on draft applications.
Please note that, while there are not new DelPHE calls for applications from 2010, the following information on our application mentoring activities remains for your interest.
If you are considering developing a DelPHE proposal involving south-south partners, or south-north partners not involving UK institutions, you may approach the ACU for:
- Advice on the DelPHE application process
- Assistance with proposal development
- Feedback and comments on draft proposals
To assist you with developing your proposal, the ACU has designed a template DelPHE Concept Note, a brief document which can help you identify and explain the core objectives of your proposal before embarking on the full application process. Please note that this Concept Note is not an official DelPHE form, and does not need to be submitted to the British Council with your final application. Instead, your completed Concept Note can be submitted to the ACU DelPHE team for advice and feedback – and we advise that you submit this to us early in the application process to enable us to provide advice and feedback for your consideration before you begin the full application.
Download the ACU DelPHE Concept Note template in MS Word.
The ACU also provides detailed feedback and comments on your draft DelPHE application, and can advise on aspects of:
If yours is a south-south partnership team, or a south-north team not involving UK partners, you are welcome to submit a draft of your application to the ACU well in advance of the final submission deadline to the British Council, and we will be happy to assist where appropriate.
